Empty line formatting

Jussi Rytkönen 7 years ago • updated 7 years ago 0

I guess this is bit unconventional for traditional text editors, but would there be any support for option that allows making empty lines smaller than lines with text? For example, their height could be half of a normal line, though this would be a pixel height setting that could be set by user.

This would allow for much more clearer structuring of code, since normally using empty lines for structuring is not that precise.

I'm testing Sublime text 2 in ubuntu 32, but in 64 bits it opens but any menu doesn't appear. I can't find the solution.

Keymap preference option

Mr xles McFyzzypants 6 years ago 0
It would be wonderful if you could predefine a keymap preference. I have the (bad?) habit of switching between Swedish and US keymaps when I'm working on different things, for instance I code with a US keymap and write prose with a Swedish keymap. And for ever newly opened file it defaults back to the OS default, which can be a tad annoying. Currently on OS X 10.7.4.

That's a plugin for Sublime Text 1. Sublime Text 2 uses a different plugin system.

How can I create a selection?

Oktay Acikalin 8 years ago • updated 8 years ago 2
I've written a plugin which replaces the selected regions with some other content. Now I would like to reselect the results to show the user what has been replaced. How can I do this?

navigation - sidebar text preview

walter lynsdale 6 years ago 0

see Mac email client.

how about an option to show 1 or 2 lines of text from the current location in each open file in the sidebar

Only enable when the sidebar is expanded beyond a certain size.

This preview text would be in a small, faint font so as not to distract from the filename itself

With this multiple views into file this could do a similar job to bookmarks, or could almost be like a textual "Expose"

Show date and time in status bar when in fullscreen mode

Oktay Acikalin 7 years ago • updated by aristidesfl 6 years ago 8
When working in fullscreen mode I sometimes want to know the current time and day (number) without going elsewhere. Showing something like "13:37, 14" or "1:37 pm, 14" sitting at the right of the status bar would be enough.
What do you think? Nonsense? Overkill? Useful?

Status bar draggable in OSX

I'd like the option to drag the status bar in OSX to move the main Sublime window around, similar to Finder / Safari.

Display keyboard shortcut on each tab

Peter Lyons 7 years ago • updated 7 years ago 0
Optionally display the keyboard shortcut and/or tab index for each tab. ⌘1 ⌘2 ⌘3, etc. iTerm2 has this. It's hard to visually guess if a tab is number 6 or 7.

Copy (super+c) should copy line if nothing is selected

aristidesfl 7 years ago • updated by Jon Skinner 6 years ago 5

The first time I've seen this improvement was in IntelliJ IDE.

If nothing is selected, make the Copy command (super+c) copy the entire line.

The same goes for the Cut command (super+x).

It has always done this in Sublime Text

It would be cool if we could navigate to View > Todo List

and that would show us a summary of all lines of code marked with a TODO comment

Syntax for New Files

Indy 7 years ago • updated by Oktay Acikalin 7 years ago 1
Whenever a new file is opened, it should use the syntax of the last opened file.

The reason is that mostly one is working with a particular language. And in that case, creating a new file is usually for that language.

Include c/c++ compiler (or configuration)

David Roman 6 years ago in Plugin announcements 0

A c/c++ compiler or pre-configured settings for real projects would be very awesome for a lot of developers! :D

Except if someone know how to configure ST2 for real big projects with a lot of references files. :)
