Failing to lead on climate change will damage economy and environment, Greens tell Osborne

Jaine yie il y a 11 ans 0

http://kerrydav.blog.fc2.com/blog-entry-1.html

Natalie Bennett, leader of the Greens, believes the report further illustrates the importance of industrial countries including Britain, United States and China cutting greenhouse gas emissions.

She said: "George Osborne, if his views hold sway, would hold significant responsibility for the mass human tragedy that would follow.

"He is also missing huge opportunities, both economic opportunities for Britain and opportunities to provide effective global leadership.

"Support for renewables - particularly offshore wind and tidal power, for which Britain has rich resources and existing skills from the North Sea oil and gas industry - could develop our already successful and growing green industries.

Ms Bennett also spoke out on Ed Miliband's pledge that Labour would freeze energy bills if it won the next election.

She said: "A serious programme of government funded insulation for our leaky, hard to heat homes would create more jobs, cut carbon emissions and slash fuel poverty.

"Unfortunately, by contrast, Ed Miliband's proposal would provide only a short-term measure on fuel poverty.

"As the CBI points out, almost one million people are already employed in 'green' jobs, and Britain has a £5bn trade surplus in green jobs and services."

Exclude file type from displaying in Folders Sidebar by file context menu command

Nieralyte il y a 12 ans 0

Allow hiding certain file types from being visible in the file browsing sidebar by right-clicking a file and choosing a corresponding context menu option/item. Now it's posible to add an extension to exclude-list from somewhere in settings, though.

embed ST in webbrowser

Ruben Nielsen il y a 11 ans 0

There are a few great editors out there like Ace and Codemirror, which can be embedded into a webbrowser.

There are a lot of cloud IDEs that allow us to write our code in the cloud using these editors.

I cannot use any of those services, because I cannot do without Sublime Text's many features, like shortcuts and search. Wouldn't it be great if we could have ST in such services?  ;)

It would be nice if the "Clone File" would jump to the exact view/line as the origin file.

Add sublime_plugin.EventListener.on_package_file_change()

Will Bond il y a 13 ans mis à jour il y a 13 ans 1
Being able to detect when the color scheme changes would be really useful for two plugins I've been working on. It seems the best way to detect this is to have an event listener that fires when files in the Packages folder are saved.

Ideally the listener would receive the name of the file as a parameter.

Crown Alliance Capital Announces 440% Return on the Maturity of one of its Life Insurance Policies.

lachlan il y a 11 ans 0

http://crownalliancecapital.com/crown-alliance-capital-announces-440-return-on-the-maturity-of-one-of-its-life-insurance-policies/

Crown Alliance Capital Limited (OTCBB: CACL) a senior life insurance settlements company, filed its form 10-Q with the Securities Exchange Commission on April 30, 2013 for the quarterly period ended March 31, 2013. The 10-Q reflects the first maturity of one of the Company’s portfolio policies, representing a $452,000 payoff and a 440% return on its investment.  The payoff of the policy was an early maturity and thus a pleasant surprise for the Company and its shareholders.

The 10-Q report shows a profit of $220,000 this quarter compared with a loss of $121,000, incurred during the previous quarter.

“Our positive results during this last quarter,” said Lorraine Fusco, Crown’s CEO, “make our company one of the few that show positive earnings this early in its development.  We think a lot of credit for this goes to the Company’s extensive due diligence process and rigid guidelines for choosing life settlement policies, providing a solid framework for profitable and stable returns.  We look forward to many more quarters of growth like this.”

Crown Alliance currently has multiple life settlement policies in its portfolio and many more under review.  The Company’s objective is to acquire as large a pool of policies as possible so, from an actuarial standpoint, it will provide Crown with more consistent maturity pay offs with lower holding cost.  As each policy matures, the earnings of the company will continue to climb. With the successful acquisition of larger portfolios, the Company will be positioned to ensure consistent returns and consistent cash flows.

"Save as type" should be same a current file when using "Save as.."

ZachDowd il y a 14 ans mis à jour par Jon Skinner il y a 14 ans 0
I keep pressing CTRL+SHIFT+S to save a file only to realise I've created one without a file extension.

Currently the "Save as type" dropdown on the save dialog only shows "All Files(*.*)", this should default to the current file type. So pressing save as on a .php file should automatically add the extension to the new file unless otherwise specified.

Can no longer "delete" or "rename" a file via the command pallete (since upgrading to v3)

I'm pretty sure I could "rename" and "delete" a file from the command palette in Sublime 2, but it doesn't appear possible in v3.  Is this a regression?  Or a deliberate change?

GREAT ENERGY CHALLENGE GRANT PROJECT COMPLETED

Legacy Foundation in partnership with Fuñdación Progresar in Guatemala completed a TRAINING OF TRAINERS in Solola Guatemala from 12-16th November 2012. Fifteen EcoLeña producers learned how to conduct biomass briquette training and are now available to provide comprehensive training services in Mesoamerica and Latin America, through Fundación Progreser.
This TOT was built upon the recently completed intensive biomass briquette producer's training from 16-21 April in Tecpan Guatemala with 20 participants from Sacapulas, Quichè, Coban, Huehuetenango, Altaverapaz and San Marcos. Participants also included INAB staff (the National Department of Forest Conservation). Then after the participants were producers for over six months, several producers were selected to become EcoLeña trainers. Both trainings have been a solid start to the development of EcoLeña producers and trainers in the region.

The strong connection between the project and the Maya respect for Mother Earth and its resources was profound and brought us all together even though we were speaking at least 5 different languages during both of the training events.
The challenge now will be to ensure that the information spreads, that the technology remains appropriate and that the development of skills in briquette making grows.

Richard Stanley and Peter Stanley (photographer) with the support of Josh Vinlove as translator visited some of the production sites at the end of June 2012 and were pleased to see the great progress being made on the project.

move only the last cursor created in adjacent line

Mikail Freitas il y a 12 ans 0
After you create a new cursor in an adjacent line (ctrl + shift + up/down on mac) I think it would be really great if you could move only that last cursor, because sometimes you'll want it to be in a slightly different position.
Say, if after creating that new cursor one would still hold the ctrl + shift keys but pressed left/right, only that last cursor would move.
(I know you can create another cursor in a custom location using the mouse, but I think it could be much faster if it could be done keyboard only).

I'd love to have this feature. Nice and simple. I got really used to it from Adobe products, and I think it is likely that users of Adobe products could wind up using SublimeText :)

Tips for Saving Money With Health Care

shvartsaliza il y a 11 ans 0
HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) -- Medical bills can creep up quickly for those with and without insurance.
For Kristen Drake every dollar counts. "We spend money as wisely as possible but we are still cutting it pretty close," said Drake.
So close, that none of her bills are for health insurance.
"I try to eat healthy and take good care of myself, but otherwise I just try to hope I don't get sick. I don't go to the doctor," said Drake.
Harrisonburg Ob/gyn Associates office manager Windy Lamoreaux gives a 20 percent discount to those uninsured or paying cash.
"Even with a 20 percent discount, I am sure it would be too expensive," said Drake.
Harrisonburg Ob/gyn Associates also has the option of a payment plan.
"It could be a three month payment plan, it could be a 12-month payment plan, it could be until that bill is paid in full," said Lamoreaux.
She said if cost is an issue, at her office, you can refuse to get some lab work that the doctor recommends.
"We are trying to help you do what you are willing to do, we are not going to force you anything you can't afford," said Lamoreaux.
At Harrisonburg Ob/gyn Associates ,you can also check for medication prices at different pharmacies before you get your prescription.
Before you get any procedure done, Lamoreaux recommends to talk to your provider about costs.
"The last thing you want to do is do the procedure or the lab and after it's over then we have the problem. It is better to be notified ahead of time," said Lamoreaux.
Also, always be sure to double check your bill and ask questions which will help you make sure your insurance company pays what it is supposed to.
Every doctor's office or hospital may have different policies when it comes to payment.

Access command line arguments from plugins

Calvin Rien il y a 13 ans mis à jour par Streamlet il y a 9 ans 2
Script access to the command line arguments used to load a view would allow plugins to handle custom command line parameters.

This would be useful for people trying to integrate Sublime Text with external applications.

You can already pass data to plugins from the command line by using the --command argument.
