Thanks, Jon. Would it be possible to have this on the tab itself? This is the idiom which many of us are familiar with.

I agree. I had to spend more than five minutes googling for this. It's definitely idiomatic to find "copy path" when right-clicking the tab.

That's also what I first tried, right clicking the tab. Later figured out I had to right click the text area but it did not feel as intuitive.

I did the same thing, too.
Definitely, it is more natural to do file meta operations from the tab, and file edit operations from the view.
