Status bar is not shown until window is moved/resized

At startup, there's no status bar on screen:

However, status bar is enabled:

Status bar appears after window was moved:

I have a similar issue on Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric. I start Sublime maximized, and the status bare is rendered wrong. I have put some screenshots at http://ge.tt/96wOyYD?c
