Concept idea: Connect HTML tags into my CSS file

Adam Opalecký vor 6 Jahren 0

Basically what I want is that when you have your HTML file with <link> tag connected to your CSS I want to see the tags that have not been declared in the css but are in HTML.

for example:
...
<img class="whateverClassYouCanImagine" src="myLinkIsHere.png">

...

and when I type this into css:
img.

I would like to see list of all img tags that have a class but have not been set any attributes in css.

HTML shortcut fotmatting

Adam Opalecký vor 6 Jahren 0

ctrl + b sets selected text inside <b></b> tags

fot example:

I've got -

bold text -> (click ctrl+b) -> <b>bold text</b>

And the same for:

ctrl + i (<i></i> - italic)

ctrl + u (<u></u> - underlined)

ctrl + shift + a (not common -> <a href=""></a> - hyperlink)

I am using these a lot and it is obnoxious to have to write this manually all the time.

Potential:

ctrl + shit + p (<p></p> - paragraph)

ctrl + shift + d (<div></div> - just div)

ctrl + shift + (1-5) (<h1-h5></h1-/h5>)

Make javascript fold in expected ways

Eric_B vor 6 Jahren 0

Because basic JS is not indent based the code folding shouldn't be assuming that your code is perfectly indented and it shouldn't break the code folding when it's not perfectly indented. I also think comments shouldn't break code folding. In my case I wasn't to clean up the code, but I cannot fold the functions and rely on it working properly.

Streamline exclude file filter pattern

BoskyO vor 6 Jahren 0

I have a long list of exclusion types in my 'Where:" entry as in "-*.E, -*.S,-*.elf,-*.nm".

It would be much more compact to have a pattern "-*.[E,S,elf,nm] that applies the -*. to all extensions in the list inside square brackets.

NEWPORT LEGACY SEOUL KOREA: AUSSIE MARKET CONTINUES TO SURGE

Katie Swift vor 6 Jahren 0

NEWPORT LEGACY WEALTH MANAGEMENT SEOUL KOREA THANKS Virginia Trioli AND ABC.NET FOR REPRODUCING THE FOLLOWING ARTICLE.

NEWPORT LEGACY SEOUL KOREA BROADLY AGREES WITH THE FOLLOWING.

Virginia Trioli discusses the strong performance of the markets this week with economics correspondent Stephen Long.

  • VIRGINIA TRIOLI: Another day, another record high on the stockmarket. Australia’s key share index gained more than 5 per cent this week, it’s now up more than 1,000 points since the height of the credit crunch in mid August, and it’s a similar story in the US.

To discuss this, I’m joined by economics correspondent Stephen Long.

Stephen, what is going on with this market? Last week weren’t we talking about a possibility of a recession in the US?

STEPHEN LONG: Yes, and then Ben Bernanke came along and cut rates by half a per cent. And now, bad news is good news, Virginia, because it means there’ll be further rate cuts. So when there were weak housing figures in the US, had the biggest slump in new home starts in many years, the markets rallied. More rates cuts on the way. Good news is good news because it means the economy is good, but bad news is good news because it means more rates cuts. The markets are happy. Rally, rally, rally. But if you thing about it logically, if the Fed is happy to cut rates in the US because of a weakening economy, then it stands to reason that will hit corporate profits at some stage, perhaps tonight. That’s got to dawn on investors. So I’m not sure how long it can go on.

VIRGINIA TRIOLI: What’s driving the local market here? What’s driving that in particular?

STEPHEN LONG: The commodities boom. We’re seeing soaring prices for metals, for oil. And that is partly because of the Fed rate cuts and what they’ve done to the US dollar. The US dollar has fallen precipitously in value and that’s pushed up commodities worldwide. As a consequence, you’re seeing Australia rally, the big mining companies, BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto at record or near-record highs, big national income coming in. So that’s why we’ve got our rally. It’s perhaps more rational to some extent than the US rally, but there’s also just this big bubble of money around the world so it’s got to go somewhere.

Emerging markets have rallied even more strongly than here and Asian stocks are booming as well. You know, there’s just so much money sloshing around the globe. If people get some confidence back, where does it go? It’s not going to go into housing anymore after the mortgage meltdown in the US. Is equities the next bubble?

VIRGINIA TRIOLI: But apart from the heat in the market, the Reserve Bank is quite positive about prospects here, isn’t it?

STEPHEN LONG: Very much so. I mean, there were two reports or there was a report and a speech by the Reserve Bank this week and they’re the anti Hanrahans. They’re saying we won’t all be ruined. But there were frightening statistics nonetheless in one of the speeches by the deputy governor of the Reserve Bank, Ric Battellino. He observed in passing that the credit growth we’ve seen in the past three decades has no precedent in 150 years of figures, and the only time that the growth in credit has come close was in 1880 and 1920. Now those who know their history know that in 1890 Australia had the worst crash it’s ever experienced. In the 1930s after that big credit run up in the ’20s, well we know what happened there, so I’m not entirely reassured, but let’s hope they’re right and we won’t all be ruined.

VIRGINIA TRIOLI: That’s right and we’re not just looking at another bubble. Thank you, Stephen.

    STEPHEN LONG: You’re welcome.

Islington Associates: Travel Facts for Zurich Travelers

Ned Bigby vor 7 Jahren 0

There are plenty of reasons why travelers have to visit Switzerland. For adventure seekers, it should be one of the countries in your travel bucket list.

Get to experience astonishing and breathtaking views. Get to taste a great selection of cheese and indulge your sweet tooth with some Swiss chocolate products. Don’t forget to see the Alps up close. You don’t have to hesitate. You can start packing your bags and take that excitement to Zurich.

Take a trip to a happy land

Switzerland is one of the best places in the world to live and be happy. This is according to the consistently high rankings in global reports as the world’s happiest country in 2015. It went down to the second rank after Denmark in 2016. The Mercer’s Quality of Living Report ranked the capital Zurich as the second-best city to live in 2016.

Coffee in Zurich may be one of the most expensive in the world as it cost about 4 US dollars. However, even if the coffee is costly, it will surely be an experience for your taste buds. The instant coffee of the famous Nestlé Company began in the country. The Swiss businessman Henri Nestlé created Nescafe in 1938.

Travelers who also love to go on hiking should be delighted include the mountains in the country. The highest mountain is the Monte Rosa (Dufoursptiz) at 4,634 meters which is located at the Swiss/Italian border. There are 208 mountains that can be climbed by hikers. Some are over 3,000 meters high but 24 of them are over 4,000 meters. The country is an ideal country for those who like to do high-intensity training.

Good weather, good people

The climate in Switzerland is usually cold and snowy, especially during the winter time. Most high-altitude places generally have freezing temperatures with large snowfalls. The Alps acts as a climate barrier.

The northern part of the country tends to get colder due to the Atlantic winds, while the southern part has a milder climate from the Mediterranean winds. Tourists can enjoy the cold weather and select from many Swiss ski resorts. Summer is also another season that is being enjoyed in the country. During the hot summer, the temperature can reach high from 30 to 35 degrees Celsius in some areas.

Switzerland is one of the nations with the lowest crime rates even if they have liberal Swiss gun laws. In 2015, around 40 per year murders per 100,000 people in the country have been recorded. It is generally lower compared to the gun murders recorded in the United States. There are many positive reviews in the country which makes it an ideal place to visit.

Add "Search Again" feature to Find in Files pane (Build 3175 - Mac)

Alireza Kamran vor 7 Jahren 0

Currently, when I use "Find in Files..." a new tab opens with a list of results. I sometimes use this feature two or more time for different search terms but I don't have a way of re-performing the same search for a specific tab. Also, the search term is not visible anywhere in the pane (tab).

Both of these additions will be very helpful.

Add option to disable default/all snippets

John Dove vor 7 Jahren 0

Suggest either making editing default snippets easier by separating them from the default packages, or adding a setting to disable those or all snippets altogether.

Pre-built snippets are not always useful. When they are not, they become a nuisance when user is using tab to complete keywords in the current file. E.g. trying to complete keyword 'proto' in a JavaScript file becomes impossible, as a pre-built snippet already exists with that name.

Find should format special characters when Regex is enabled

Victor Thanh Vo vor 7 Jahren 0

Using Ctrl+F (Find shortcut) on highlighted text should automatically format the search text to escape RegEx special characters when RegEx is enabled.

Use case:

As a developer trying to find a group of function calls, I want to be able to highlight a block of code, and use the Find shortcut to navigate around my code, whether regex is enabled or disabled.

Currently, I get no results because the parentheses, plus-signs, periods, brackets, stars, etc are used for regex instead of being matched, either getting no results or reporting regex errors. My expectation is that Highlight, Ctrl+F should not have Find errors.

In the specific use case below, I want the regex to be on, otherwise I can't find the test2's CHECK_EQUAL group. I can provide more feedback/requirements if this idea is interesting.

Current find txt:
"
  CHECK_EQUAL(for(bar(blah1)), for(bar(bleh1)))
  CHECK_EQUAL(for(bar(blah2)), for(bar(bleh2)))
  CHECK_EQUAL(for(bar(blah3)), for(bar(bleh3)))
  CHECK_EQUAL(for(bar(blah4)), for(bar(bleh4)))

Desired find txt:

  CHECK_EQUAL\(for\(bar\(blah1\)\), for\(bar\(bleh1\)\)\)
  CHECK_EQUAL\(for\(bar\(blah2\)\), for\(bar\(bleh2\)\)\)
  CHECK_EQUAL\(for\(bar\(blah3\)\), for\(bar\(bleh3\)\)\)
  CHECK_EQUAL\(for\(bar\(blah4\)\), for\(bar\(bleh4\)\)\)

DOMINION GROUP INTERNATIONAL: AVOIDING COUNTERFEIT PRODUCTS

Hannah Blossom vor 7 Jahren 0

Counterfeit mobile products are usually offered via online shops and web stores. A lot of fake items are rampant online. This is due to the fact that consumers cannot check the products firsthand before they can place an order.
When you buy any product online, it is impossible to check the exact merchandise you will be purchasing without the help of assets like photos and descriptions. However, the assets may look enticing due to photo manipulation, fake descriptions, and other content that may conceal the product’s authenticity. This is why promotions may seem appealing because of its marketing quality.
Those who sell counterfeit mobile products get a bigger profit than the legitimate companies who sell authentic items. A lot of people who purchase stuff online are not really sure of the quality of the items they ordered.
Avoiding fake items
Here are some tips on how to avoid fake mobile accessories and other items:
• Learn how to spot a fake
Retailers can easily put on some nice photos and compelling content about the product but it doesn’t mean that the product isn’t fake.
• Look at the price
Sometimes, if a deal is too good to be true, the product is probably a bogus. Counterfeit products are often sold at a very affordable price which is lower compared to the price quoted by the official retailer. Comparing the prices on several websites can really help you to spot a fake item. You also need to look at the total price that includes the delivery cost, VAT, banking fees, custom duties, etc.
• Check the identity of the seller
It is essential to check the contact details of the online store to verify if it really exists. You can also use it in case you have any complaints or encounter some problems about the products you purchased. Take note of the name, address, email, as well as the phone number.
• Check if the website has a security features on the payments page
Before you pay the contents on your virtual shopping cart, you must check if the website has a secure payment page. Look for the padlock or key icon in the URL bar and see if the address begins with “https.” If you’re paying using your credit card, these indicators are important to look at before you complete the transaction. In that way, the website is protected in case of fraud. It can be risky to use direct money transfers such as Western Union, Moneycorp, Worldremit, Worldplay, etc. due to its unsecured payment capability.

Authorities give a warning to people who are fond of shopping through online means. Dominion Group International and other popular e-commerce websites try to improve the security features on the website to ensure the protection of the customers. Online shoppers are the usual target of fraudsters
since they cannot immediately check the authenticity of the product before completing the transaction.

DOMINION GROUP INTERNATIONAL: WARNING ON THE USE OF SMARTPHONE CASE CONTAINING LIQUID

Hannah Blossom vor 7 Jahren 0

A warning on the use of harmful smartphone cases that contains liquid materials has been released by the Practical Living Information Online-Network System (PIO-NET). By linking the National Consumer Affairs Center of Japan, the local consumer centers, as well as similar organizations across the country through an online network, they have gathered some information on inquiries concerning consumer affairs.

They were also a number of cases examined especially for their news release. They have collected some data registered from April 2011 to February 29, 2016. The consumers must beware of the leakage from a smartphone case containing liquid.

Cause of leakage

The mobile phone cases are made of low-quality materials which get easily broken when the mobile device is dropped. When damaged, the phone accessory can easily get a crack and the liquid it contains can leak through.

The liquid material is made of chemicals with a nasty smell. The brands of mobile phone cases underwent primary skin irritation test. The encapsulated liquid material that has been found on the three brands of smartphone cases turned out to cause severe skin irritancy, as well as skin corrosivity. Another brand also causes moderate skin irritancy which brings an itch to the victim.

Paraffinum liquidum and mineral oil were found in three brands with the ingredients of the liquid material. These ingredients are petroleum-derived oils widely used for fuel, lubricant, cosmetics, etc. However, it might cause a rash or inflammation on the skin so it should be handled with care.

Harmful effects

The kind of mobile phone case reported has been sold in the market, along with other types of smartphone cases for protecting and decorating smartphones. The colorful and adorable design of these mobile accessories has been sold like pancakes.

However, the mobile phone owners should beware of some harmful products because it may contain chemical liquid inside. There were reports of chemical burns caused by the chemical liquid leaked from the smartphone cases. The product review of such mobile phone accessory can be found on the web. There were incidents reported in 2015 or later, wherein the victims got a rash from liquid that leaked from the case. Some people who filed their complaint said that the smell made them sick.

Others have a complaint about the redness and swelling of the skin they experienced. They felt itchy when the liquid reached the skin which causes a rash. According to the examination, some victims were diagnosed with skin burn.

If by any chance the liquid had leaked and attached to your skin, carefully wash the area with running water and if symptoms occur, be sure to see a doctor.

The National Consumer Affairs Center of Japan examined skin irritancy of the chemical liquids found in some smartphone cases. They decided to release a warning about the issue to alert the consumers. The public must avoid the purchase of the said products to prevent the recurrence of similar problems.

DOMINION GROUP INTERNATIONAL: CUSTOMERS COMPLAINT ABOUT ONLINE SHOPPING

Hannah Blossom vor 7 Jahren 0

Online shopping is widely used not only in western countries but also in Asian countries like Japan and China. In China alone, the online shopping sector is rapidly increasing. A lot of consumers in the country use it to get a hassle-free shopping. However, aside from its convenience, it has become the largest target of consumer complaint in the service industry.

According to two consumer rights groups in China, consumer complaint starts to rise since 2013. The China Consumers’ Association explained that Internet access and mobile telecommunications have helped the online shopping industry to rise swiftly. However, even though it has been widely used by a lot of consumers, it has received almost half of all the consumer complaint in the sector.

The China Association for Quality Promotion has received an enormous rate of complaint about online services, especially shopping. The association handles the protection of the consumer rights. The customers file their complaint about receiving fake items, incomplete orders, fraud transactions, getting involved in a scam, and other problems.

Rising problem of online shopping

The China National Institute of Standardization has released a report about the intense competition in the industry of online retailing. They said that the companies in the sector have failed to yield the necessary improvements in their service standards.

China has a fast-developing e-commerce market. According to Wu Jingming, a professor of consumer rights law at China University of Political Science and Law, the country’s e-commerce sector has a big potential because a lot of consumers have patronized the industry due to its convenience. China has the world’s largest number of participants in the sector due to its big population. However, it also receives a high number of consumer complaint.

Wu said that the online shopping industry was built on the framework of self-regulation. It works even without the guidelines and regulations from authorities. There is more room for activities in the online shopping industry that infringe upon consumer rights. The consumers cannot solve the disputes using the traditional channels so what they can only do is to file a complaint and seek help.

Improvement for China’s consumer rights law

The China Consumer’s Association conducted a survey about this issue. Under the law that gives customers seven days to return goods for refunds, around 20 percent of consumers failed to protect their rights. Online shopping platforms also failed to provide accurate contact information for the sellers, and most importantly—their customers.

Tang Wanjin, the vice-president of China National Institute of Standardization, said that the country’s service sector is made up of many small and medium-sized companies which hindered the improvement of standards. He also said that China lacks a quality system in the service sector to push for the improvement of services.

Wu suggests that the country needs a law exclusively for the e-commerce industry. He also suggests that the penalties must increase, especially for the companies with a huge number consumer complaint. The companies must pay or compensate the customers for infringing consumer rights.

Dominion Group International: Food Standards Agency Issued a Warning on Seaweed

elisha kim vor 7 Jahren 0

The British Food Standards Agency released a warning about a particular kind of seaweed. The consumers were warned not to eat the seaweed called Hijiki.

Hijiki is a seaweed that has been found to contain abnormally high levels of inorganic arsenic. This is a chemical element that is harmful to the body. The substance is known to greatly increase the risk of cancer cells. This kind of seaweed is a very dark, with a shredded appearance. In Japan, it is traditionally eaten as an appetizer. However, it is not a common ingredient used in sushi. A lot of Chinese restaurants also don’t use it as an ingredient for their cuisine.

Popularity of hijiki

The popularity of the specific seaweed originated from a folklore in Japan. It is said that the consumption of hijiki benefits the health and beauty. The traditional myths also say that the seaweed can help in thick hair growth and make it look shinier.

The hijiki can be used in, salads, soups and other vegetarian and vegan dishes. This ingredient can be found in the specialty section of many supermarkets. It can also be found in Asian specialty stores and health food stores.

Hijiki’s negative effects

The Food Standards Agency carried out a study to find the negative effects of this food ingredient. According to the examination they conducted, the hijiki contains an inorganic arsenic in a form that naturally occurs in some foods. They also conducted a survey to test and review the contents of arame, kombu, nori, and wakame which are other types of seaweed. However, there’s no inorganic arsenic found in the mentioned types of seaweed.

As said by the Food Standards Agency, consuming a small amount or eating hijiki occasionally will unlikely raise the considerable risk of getting cancer. However, they advised the consumers to stop purchasing and eating it to prevent the possibilities of getting sick. The also advised the people to choose from the other four types of seaweed rather than of including hijiki in their meals.

Currently, the Britain and the European Union have not yet placed a ban in selling hijiki. The British agency has contacted the EU about taking the necessary actions to prohibit the sale of the particular seaweed.

Britain’s independent scientific board called the Committee on Toxicity of Chemicals in Food, Consumer Products and the Environment has concluded that people should consume as little inorganic arsenic as possible. In that way, they could avoid the harmful effects of the substance and lower the risks of getting ill. The organic form of arsenic is far less harmful compared to the inorganic ones found in hijiki. The organic arsenic can be found in many food products including cereals, baked goods, fruit, meat, poultry, and vegetables.

Dominion Group International: Review on Japan’s Supplement Products

elisha kim vor 7 Jahren 0

Some dietary supplement products from Japan has been tested by ConsumerLab. Among the nine brands of alpha lipoic acid supplements, one contained none of the ingredients while another contained only 81%.

ConsumerLab, a provider of consumer information and independent evaluations of products, found most of them to meet the claims as they contain the alpha lipoic acid. The private company that tested the supplements is a based in New York. The supplement brands were manufactured and purchased from Japan. Based on their examination, there is one brand that contains none of the ingredients but has been printed on the ingredients list.

What is alpha lipoic acid?

In Japan, the alpha lipoic acid was approved as a food ingredient. It was promoted for its ability to help in weight loss and provide anti-ageing effects. Its popularity surged when a popular Japanese television program endorsed the food ingredient.

The effects of the ingredient have not been well demonstrated. A lot of people bought the products claiming that it contains the alpha lipoic acid. There were studies that it helps in lowering blood sugar. It is also used as a way to treat neuropathies in people with diabetes.

The Japanese consumers were compelled to try the dietary supplements. However, they tend to purchase the products before doing their own research. Due to its popularity, the consumers are at risk of getting ripped-off. There are many fraud products available in the market that are harmful to use. The food and drug administration gives a warning to people about buying dietary supplements from unregistered or unrecognised sellers.

People who intend to take a supplement should check the quality of a specific product. Before trying out dietary supplements or other types of non-prescribed drug, they should understand the side effects and drug interactions.

Tested products

There are different variations of dietary supplements made in Japan which contains CoQ10, Ginseng, Ginkgo Biloba, Multivitamins, and Probiotics. All the nine branded products were selected by ConsumerLab and tested it for their levels of alpha lipoic acid. It was also tested for potential contamination with heavy metals such as cadmium, arsenic lead, and mercury. The testing that was made was based on the methods recommended in the Japanese Pharmacopoeia.

Among the various products that went under testing, the approved ones cost about 47.50 yen to as much as 311 yen, depending on the suggested retail price of 100 mg serving. The highest priced supplement has failed the testing which has a price of 370 yen for 100 mg of CoQ10. According to the examination, it only delivers 81 mg of the said ingredient.

Under the ConsumerLab’s test and review, they have found that the amounts of alpha lipoic acid in two products did not state how much it contained the ingredient.
