Display matched count

James Brooks il y a 13 ans mis à jour par Dustin Oprea il y a 2 ans 8
I'm sure I must have missed this somewhere, but for the life of me I cannot see the amount of matches found when using "Find".

It would be nice to know how far I've gone through. Perhaps also colouring the relative scrollbar position to match the line in accordance to the page, like Google Chrome!

This is something I'd like to add, but as a work around you can do a find all, and then the status bar will tell you how many selection regions there are

**edit**

I see, you need to click the 'square' to the left of your search to see "x of y matches"

for some reason all see is "4 characters selected", when I search for "id" - it does not show the count anymore on mac on the free version.

Thanks for that! I don't think this is obvious.

Yes, it seems that in "large" files (files with many lines... i tested in a 50,000 line file), when regex matching is enabled, sublime will no longer display number of matches in the status bar at the bottom: "X of N matches".

I am not 100% sure but I think this is a regression from version 3 to version 4. I don't recall this happening in version 3.

Yep, I just upgraded from 3 to 4 and found this issue...

As a data engineer, I use this feature every day...So I would have to get back to version 3...

Me too. Been watching this thread for a little while but want to make sure my vote is in on any sort of fix.
