Background color in draw_centered mode

I would like to be able to provide a different background color to the part of the display displaying file contents in draw_centered mode vs the rest of the window that is empty. A use case for this would be coding within 80 columns where you have subtle visual feedback about the extents of the screen display vs the rest of the screen.
