Slow keyboard repeat

I have my key repeat speed set to max. When I delete characters in an unsaved document, the repeat is slower than usual. Running 2.0.1 2217 on mac osx

Running v3, OS X, and the repeat rate is also slower than system's default. Factors that may influence this: large documents, minimap enabled, some plugins like cursorruler. I'm also getting jerky key repeat but it may because I'm running my MBP without a battery right now (max processor cut down to 1GHz).
