Bug in multi-column select when word wrap is turned on

When using multi-column select on the first column of a block of text, it selects the first visual column, when I believe it should select the first column within the logical line.

The current behavior leads to multiple selections within the same line even when that is not intended.
This is the first text editor that I've tried that "column selected" on the last character on the line if it wasn't enough columns to extend to the selection column.  I was expecting it to have "virtual spaces" up to the selection line.  Those would then turn into real spaces when something is typed or pasted.  I don't like how Sublime has implemented this.
