Yes, would be great to fix. I hit this issue a lot.

My Setup:

OSX Mountain Lion

ST2 with decent # of plugins

Repro steps:

- Search all files… (in a big project)

- Search for some short string… I accidentally searched for "u" because hit enter while typing a longer string

- ST2 Application hangs, can't escape the search

IDEA:

- would prefer opportunity to cancel the search
