 There's code folding support in the newest dev builds.

I try to do this all the time... I really need this feature. :)
I'm using Jumpcut now, and it's working pretty well.
Ctrl+tab defaults to cycling through tabs in MRU order, rather than in the order they're displayed (ctrl+tab is bound by default to next_view_in_stack). Have you tried e.g. super+shift+] in OS X? (bound to next_view by default).
Likewise, in OS X you can option-click a scrollbar to move to that location.
