Open search results via keyboard shortcut

It would be great to be able to open files matching a search term not only by clicking on the line (in the results buffer), but also by using a keyboard shortcut.

Is there an API to add your own shortcuts for things like this?

Thanks for your quick reply.

And yes, this already helps.  However, often I don't want to go through all of the matches, but find myself browsing the 'Find Results' buffer using the keyboard (page-up/page-down etc) and would like to open individual matches without having to switch to the mouse.  It's not overly important, though… :)

I put the cursor just before the result I want and then hit F4.

In my case, "Find Results" is not a panel, it's a view.  I like that.

I would love this feature too.
A new keybind to skip to the next result, but stay on the find results tab.
When then pressed enter, go to the actual find result.
I would love this feature too! I tried the plugin https://github.com/abrookins/OpenSearchResult but can't get it to work ..
oh, nice one!  and here it does work ootb.  however, in the meantime i've gotten used to using F4, which already goes a long way… :)
